Project Description:
2000 - Intended as a cluster of three houses for a Kuwaiti family, the project is located by the sea with direct access to an existing private marina. The site development includes extensive landscaping with lush gardens, terraces and water features, as well as several ancillary structures including a covered swimming pool, diwaniya, and basement parking. The design takes advantage of the wide exposure to the sea, while creating a system of courtyards, atrium spaces, passages and arcades that attempt to revive cultural and environmental values. While responding to the needs of modern living, the project reflects a balance between contemporary and traditional architectural values.
